How to help
Support our appeal
Wolf hunting is legal in Slovakia, and every year up to 150 wolves are killed. The impact this has on wolves living in the heart of Europe is largely unknown because of a lack of research and monitoring. We need your help to raise 10,000 EUR to complete a pioneering genetic study which will provide unprecedented insights into the effects of hunting on wolf family groups (packs). Please support our crowdfunding appeal Carpathian Wolf Watch: Keeping an independent eye on Slovakia's wolves at GoFundMe.

Report your observations
Contribute to current knowledge of carnivore distribution and movements in Slovakia. If you see signs of bears, wolves or lynx, please tell us about it in as much detail as possible, including when, where and what were the circumstances. You can also send your photographs or video. We are also interested in articles about predators in the press, so let us know if you see something on television, in a newspaper or on the internet. If possible, send us the whole article and don't forget to mention the source and date.
Spread the word
Learn as much as you can about carnivores and how to keep them out of conflict with people. Pass on your knowledge to others. Some of our educational materials might help. Please also like, share and subscribe to our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
